People seeking work permits are required to be people with special qualifications such as researchers, artists, managers, and consultants, instructors, and specialists, particularly engineers, doctors, nurses, athletes/coaches, and architects. People establishing new businesses are also welcome in Denmark.

 

Language: Danish, Faroese, Greenlandic, and German (a small minority). English is the predominant second language.

 

Communications: World-class communications infrastructure.

 

Currency: Danish krone (DKK)

Major industries: Food processing, textiles and clothing, machinery and equipment, chemical products, electronics, construction, furniture and other wood products, ship building, and windmills.
